April 1st National Poetry Month Burst/Burst #51

Burst/Burst: #51
(Direction: ‘Book of Changes,’ & ‘The Mysteries of Spring’)

As I
try to write burst on burst about
the ball,

But first
want to consult the Oracle, a broken
habit.

As I
try to find loose change, pennies to toss, “Wrong language,”
he says,

But first
he says “Read 5 poems you do
not know.”

As I
remembered it, thunder on thunder mixes
it up,

But first,
before the word for sphere
or ball,

As I
lay on a pre-poetics blue blanket
eye caught,
But first,
translucent-round-sparkles, no language and
not me!

As I
pre-verbal laughter, object on subject for
first time.

Terrific first entry, Juris ! It has rhythm, needs not rhyme. I love it!

But there are I only one and a half hours left before it’s the 2nd of April in the EDT time zone and it will be time for your next poem. 😀 In the meantime, I’ll move this one to this year’s designated poetry month forum.

"As I

Juris,  Can I lie down next to you?  I want to thank you for my daily emails of your poems that keep me connected to this complicated magical world of words.

Oh how I miss this. But my creative watering trough is frozen over right now and I can't find a hammer big enough to shatter the ice and quench my thirst.   4 days late posting but I actually did write something of sorts on the first of the month.

Stroke Victim

Words undone
slurred just one
and then none,
thoughts are spun,
clot has won.

Brain ransacked,
out of whack.
Fighting back,
get on track
talking smack.

Tinker, I'm jealous. You say the words are frozen over and yet on a whim you can produce great stylistically jewels;-) I really think, you don't give yourself enough credit. Poetry has been put the side for the most part in the making of the experiment which is Gate(Less) but I find, given a chance I can produce something and it feels good. I'm loving everything you've produced this month and would to see more. Its good to be hanging with the poets, again;-)
