Tinker
I remember a long, long time ago when I was questioning what I truly believed, it occurred to me that it was a lot better to believe in a loving God than in nothing at all. I chose to be loved. Atheism has never made sense to me, why choose "nothing" over "love"? And if I'm wrong, the worse thing that could happen is I lived in grace created by my own belief. If I'm right I get the bonus of heaven. mikejewett
I like messing around with forms. I came up with the absurd idea of an Hieroglyphic Haiku. Tinker
Hi Mike, interesting concept and I love the images and humor in the "translation". Just a note, here on the forum haiku train, the idea is to use the last line of the previous haiku posted as your first line. It sort of makes a chain from poet to poet. I feel lucky to have been fed that last great line from your haiku for my first line. #32 2022oops there goes a frog onto forum railroad tracks jump Kermit, "choo choo" ~~jvg 1 Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com

Tinker
Hi RC, Great to see new blood here. Love "when trees bathe in hugging mist" what a beautiful image. Just a note there is a Topic Haiku Journal where individual haikus can be posted or you can post one simply as it's own topic if you want comments. Here on the Haiku Train, it is a collaborative effort in that posting a haiku, the poet uses the last line of the poem previously posted as the first line of their haiku. It creates a chain of haikus written by various poets. Such as: 2022 #32"and we both shiver" strolling barefoot at low tide bubbles in the sand ~~jvg Quote ~~ © ~~ Poems by Judi Van Gorder ~~ For permission to use this work you can write to Tinker1111@icloud.com
